Hiya knitters,

I’m having a great time. Fall has fully arrived to Germany which means it’s time to dig your handknits out! The temperatures in the morning are low and the air is crisp and fresh. You definitely need a jacket or at least a warm sweater and a shawl to go outside. And yes, it’s layering season – in the afternoon, it gets so warm that you need to get rid of all those clothes and walk around in a light tee.

The perfect weather for a thin-yet-cozy cardigan, and just in time for that, Tau is live.

I really love that sweater! The bright yarn (it’s Madelinetosh Sock, colorway Gossamer) allows for the texture to shine, and honestly, grey is going together perfectly with just about any other piece in my wardrobe. I’ve worn Tau with jeans and with skirts, all buttoned up or the first or last couple ones left open. It’s amazing how the entire look of the cardigan changes – it’s just as easy to dress it up as down.

And these buttons! ♡ I love that military look.

Are you thinking about casting on your own version of Tau? The pattern is available on Ravelry, and we’re just doing a knit-along in my group. Join in for some inspiration and let us know what yarn and color choices are on your mind!
