Does anyone remember this sweet lil’ project?

I just realized it’s been two months since the yarn arrived here, and only yesterday I managed to cast on.

okker

Just too many projects got into my way and so I had to delay this cardigan and delay it again…

But the good news is, I’m done with the neck and shoulder shaping and I’m working on the raglan increases now.

The big amount of stitch markers makes it look almost like a dreamcatcher, don’t you think so? But it’s not a dreamcatcher – instead it’s an awesome way to do said neck shaping. Very visual, super easy to understand and fun to do. I’m so looking forward to showing it in detail to all of you!

But I guess it will take some more weeks until this cardigan is finished and the pattern is ready to be published. I’m knitting on US 2.5 [3.00 mm] needles at a tight gauge, with two inches of positive ease. So, yeah, it’s gonna take some time.

It will be an enjoyable knit and I’m actually looking forward to it. I’ll be having a lot of time tomorrow and the day after, so I hope to show you some more progress photos real soon!

Also, the yarn is a pleasure to work with! It knits up wonderfully and I love the soft color changes that give a subtle depth to the fabric. So far it also drapes beautifully and I’m so looking forward to trying this piece on.

So, stay tuned!
