I’m happy to squeeze this post in at the end of the year, and to show you my last pattern release in 2013.
They’re a quick and fun knit, resulting in a unique accessory that sets you apart from the mainstream. Inspired by the DNA double helix structure, they form a spiral and wind themselves up, leaving a small slit for the thumb – an unusual construction method that keeps you entertained while knitting. The upper and lower opening are both seamed with an I-cord which provides a polished finish and makes it easy to slip in and out of, while the textured surface shines all over the mitts.
(Oh, while we’re at it: Of course the Helyx Mitts are a perfect candidate to join in the Mitt-Along! Here’s another sample I made, if you need some color or yarn inspiration.)
The Under 100 Collection is a wonderful compilation of designs that require less than 100g of yarn, but do more than just stashbust. These are projects that delight, entertain, challenge and ultimately reveal their form in just a single weekend (or afternoon, if you’re really on top of your game!).
To celebrate this new release, I’m giving away a printed copy as well as a digital ebook of the collection. Yes, that’s right – copies of the whole book, with all 30 knitting patterns included, and I’m shipping it worldwide.
Have another look at the collection and enjoy projects that delight, entertain, challenge and ultimately reveal their form in just a single weekend (or afternoon, if you’re really on top of your game!).
To enter the giveaway and be eligible for the drawing:
- add the Helyx Mitts to your Ravelry favorites and
- leave a comment in this thread in my Ravelry group (NOT here in the blog).
I’ll do the drawing on 10th of January and will send out the digital copy on that same day. The printed copy will take a bit longer. 🙂
So, join in, everybody, and good luck! ♥
(A note to non-US and non-Canadian knitters: If you encounter any technical problems while ordering the pattern from the Knit Picks website, please just drop me a line and I’ll be glad to help you on!)
So, there’s only one more thing to say now: I wish you all a wonderful new year, filled with peace, joy, health and happiness. ♥
See you in 2014!
