I’ve been to the German Raveler Meeting 2013 in Cologne from 17th to 18 of August. It’s been such a blast!
I was there with my sister and my neighbor and of course I’ve met a lot of friends there as well. This is a photo Michaela of Wollfaktor took from Chanti from Chantimanou’s Handspinnerey and me, and in the back you can see Jules from Jules Wollshop just preparing her booth.
So, involved in this shot were a hand-dyer, a spinner, a yarn seller and a knitwear designer and I think this might be one of the most prolific and versatile combinations ever and you can rest assured that we didn’t run out of interesting discussions.
Apart from meeting again with old friends we had a lot of time to enjoy ourselves, sitting at the banks of the Rhein, drinking coffee and watching all the wonderful people wearing great knitwear.
There were a lot of booths to shop yarn, stitch markers, knitting needles, books, patterns, yarn bowls, spindles and much more and the two days flew by so quickly. I wish I could show you more photos, but believe it or not, I didn’t have to time to take any. But Michaela took a lot of pictures and you can check them out here. Yes, it’s been a lot of yarn!
It’s been great to see so many people knitting everywhere, and it’s been wonderful to have the opportunity to come together and chat for a while.
See you all again next year!
